He started his career in one of India‘s leading Paints company as Sales professional at the grassroot level. With over 33 years’ experience in various roles in marketing & sales and as business head in various industries, he went on to be the Head of a US$ 3 billion edible oil company.
In his various roles, Ram has been able to successfully turn around businesses. His hands-on approach in all areas of organisation, gives him the experience of scaling up organisations.
He has worked in the areas of Sales, Marketing and General Management across both consumer durables as well as FMCGs. He has demonstrated his achievement in Revenue growth, Profitability, Performance Improvement and Change management. He has headed businesses in India, Bangladesh, UAE, CIS, China, Hongkong and South Pacific. He has worked in companies like Asian Paints, ITC, ICI, GM Pens (Reynolds Writing Instruments), Ruchi Soya.
Ram has an honours degree in Commerce from St. Xavier’s College, a premier institute.
He has over 28 years of experience in Management Consulting and various Industry. He has executed engagements in areas such as Strategy, Budgeting , Costing, Organisation Design, Structure & Climate, People Assessment & Fitment, Performance Improvement and Compensation Interventions. He has worked in companies like Deloitte, Sanmar Group and Intercraft Trading.
He is a textile Engineer from the Technological Institute of Textiles (Member Birla Education Society) and a postgraduate in Business Management from Indian Institute of Management (IIM, Lucknow).
He is a senior professional with 29 years’ experience in Human Resources. Through these years, he led all areas of Human Resources with successful hands-on experience in Business Performance Improvement & Change Management. He has worked closely with the business unit heads, CXOs & functional heads to achieve business results in MNCs & family owned companies. He has worked in companies like Godrej, Lupin, TNT Express (FedEx), Ruchi Soya and Yousef Abdul Latif Jameel Group.
He is a chemical engineer from IIT (Roorkee) and a postgraduate in HR from Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS). His education background has enhanced his knowledge of the function and business processes which differentiates him from fellow HR professionals. Over the years his approach to HR has been that of a solution provider & being a resulted oriented professional.
